About our Bees and their Honey<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Our apiary has four beehives and is located at the back of the property. Having the apiary serves several purposes: collecting honey, a natural sweetener with health benefits, improved pollination of crops and the garden and it is a unique opportunity to contribute to the sustainability of the ecosystems. <\/span><\/p>

Our bees are respected, handled with care and the honey is harvested twice a year, always making sure plenty is left in the hive for the bees to eat, especially during the winter months. The harvest is manual, through a mechanical process that doesn\u2019t involve any heating or chemical treatments, in order to preserve the beneficial nutrients and natural occurring components, like enzymes, pollen and propolis.
